“I will never let you go,” I whisper with my eyes staring up into the endless blue sky. “I will carry you with me forever.”
“I only want to write letters to my girl.” “Really? Well, I’m not anyone else’s girl if that helps.” “It might.”
“I realized we hadn’t kissed. So, I figured if maybe we had, you wouldn’t want to kiss anyone else.” “Can I tell you a secret?”
“I wouldn’t have kissed anyone else anyway. I would’ve happily waited to kiss you.”

“How many winded kisses will it take for you to be my girl?”
“How many kisses do you think you’ll keep running for?” “As many as it takes.”
but it’s also the first time I feel myself falling in love so deeply with someone in a way I am not prepared for. From this moment forward, I know there will be a force inside me that wants to keep his heart safe and carry it with me forever, no matter what the future holds.
His scars feel like mine. His pain, his sadness, and his past are all something I want so badly to love into wholeness again. I can’t erase what happened to him, but I will if I can. And that’s a feeling I have never felt for anyone else.
“I love you.”
“How do you know?”
“I just ...

When I’m not with you, you’re on my mind all day, every day. The only thing I can think about is seeing you again. When I wake up, it’s you. Before I sleep, it’s you. Even when I’m with you, it’s still not enough.”
“I love you,
forever and ever!”
“Forever, huh?”

His pulse against mine feels holy and his lips are the puzzle piece missing from mine. He’s my other half, and nothing feels complete when we were apart.
“Just kill me now,”
“What do you mean? Why would you say that?”
“Because if this was what my last day looked like, I’d die happy. This is exactly how I’d like my last day to be. Next to you. It can’t get any better than this.”
Did you find miss perfect yet?

Oh yeah?
Yeah
You
“She wasn’t the one.”
“You are.”
“It’ll never really be over,”
“I don’t think that’s how a love like this one works.
His sorrow is mine. His joy is mine. His peace is mine. I will carry him with me forever.
when you’re young like that, you don’t have the strength or the courage to do what you know is right. All you know to do is what you’ve been told is right. We only learn the truth when we’re old enough to identify and accept it. And often, by then, it’s too late.”
“Unfortunately, most of the lessons we need to learn happen after it’s too late.”
The most important thing I want and have ever wanted is you,
“I love you.”
“I love you, too. I’ve never stopped,”
“If love be rough with you, be rough with love.”
What I hate most is feeling lonely, but what I didn’t realize is how lonely it can also feel when you’re with someone who doesn’t make you feel alive, seen, or heard.
Something in the way the mountains are explained makes me feel something, something new. Their description as “gentle, easy and unchallenging”
Love should not feel like summiting Mount Everest. Love should be a gentle Appalachian.
“You know why people smoke?”
“Nope. Not really.”
“Grief.” He taps on his chest. “Grief is stored in the lungs. People smoke when way deep down in here they’re sad. Grief and sadness directly affect the lungs. If we are unable to express these emotions or are being overwhelmed by them, it will weaken the lungs and compromise their main function: respiration.”
“Are you a doctor or s...
