I need food right now.” “No, you give me a day. Of your time. In this town. I think if you really spent some time in this community, you’d understand why I love it so much. It wouldn’t be some dingy town to you anymore.” Words don’t come to me. I just stare at her, trying to decide if she’s serious. “That would involve us having to spend time together.”
