was about to momentarily pause this book and switch to another but then i got hit with a combo of my favorite tropes lmao

“Good girl,” he whispers, just for me.

and i oop-

“Okay, sweetheart. I’ll stay with you.”

ahhhh

“I have a feeling Ben would give you anything you wanted and then some, but whatever helps you sleep at night.”

I think you can handle a lot of things, but that doesn’t mean you don’t deserve help sometimes.

“It’s always been you.”
