“I need to go and check in on Rosa. Give me five minutes.” I head to the door. “Only five? I would have put you down for lasting longer than that.” His voice is muffled through his jacket sleeve. I chuckle and shake my head. “Around her, five is probably about right.”

“Introduce me to my new friends,” she hisses with venom in her tone. Turning, I whisper back in her ear, “Get your fucking hands off me.”
