“I don’t want fifty more girls,” I replied, twisting back to find her still watching me. “I just want that girl.”
“Does it matter?” I countered, needing to regain some ground I had lost to this powerhouse of a girl. “We both know that you’ll be calling me ‘baby’ by the end of the day.”

“We’re not friends, Molloy. And stop snuggling me.” “Friends snuggle.” “Friends do not fucking snuggle.” “I snuggle with Casey all the time.” “Well, I can assure you that I have never snuggled with Podge.”

“Make sure you do.” She laughed. “Because I’ve put an awful lot of effort into saving you, six.”
“What are you—” Ricey began, but was quickly silenced by the fist I planted on his jaw.
“Don’t you ever touch her like that again, do ya hear me?” “Or what?” “Or I’ll put you in a body bag.”
“Don’t worry, asshole, any tears I spill won’t go to waste,” I snapped, sniffling when I reached up to bat a traitorous tear away. “I’m planning to save them up to drown you with.”
“Joey called me fat.” Sniffling, I batted another tear away. “I’m really upset about it. Can I please be excused?” His mouth fell open. “You bitch.” Fuck you, I mouthed back at him.
