“Jesus, Holden, the things you say.” I ran my thumb over his lips, joy and panic warring in my heart. Like he could read my mind, he quickly added, “If it’s too much, if you’re not ready, I totally get it.” He rolled me onto my back and stared down at me. “I’ve never felt this before and it scares the shit out of me as well, but not as much as not telling you does.
