“You’re feeling possessive.” He sighed through his nose. “Yes and no. I know that makes me a fucking bastard, but you’re mine. Someone hurt you when you should’ve been with me, and I can’t fucking stand it.”
“Is this the trick to get you to behave?” he asked as he placed kisses down my neck. “I have to fuck the brat out of you?”
“Some people go their whole lives without knowing happiness. Mine is multiplied by four,” I told him and headed toward the kitchen to finish cooking breakfast.
“Oh, God!” I moaned. He chuckled. “If that’s what you want to call me.”
“That first time you grounded me, I really thought I might have met my soulmate.” His lips pressed to my spine, making me squirm. I tried to pull my wrists from his grasp as he started trailing kisses up. “I am certain now that you are,” he added. His words made me stop resisting. “I love you, pretty boy.” I felt his mouth stretch into a smile between my shoulder blades. “I love you, too, baby girl.”
