It seemed like Michelle was doing more and more of the after dinner chores by herself these days. Steve wandered into the kitchen, came up behind her, and wrapped his arms around her waist. She turned and kissed him on the cheek. “That was a nice surprise,” she murmured softly. “I love you, babe,” he said. “Let’s sneak away somewhere together. Just the two of us.”
