To take over the troubled project, Marvel Studios hired director Alan Taylor, best known for his work on TV programs such as The Sopranos and Game of Thrones. According to Taylor, the Marvel executives mostly left him alone during the shoot, but that changed during postproduction. The Creative Committee was convinced that Loki didn’t get enough screen time and that his scenes weren’t much fun.
