All of Marvel’s movies since Winter Soldier have received a first draft created in collaboration with the Third Floor, a 3D pre-viz company founded in 2004 by a group of visual effects artists who had worked together on Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Pre-viz became a tool to weed out ideas that don’t work. For example, in an early version of Fury’s car chase in Winter Soldier, Fury’s car was going to fly.
