If I’d been responsive, I’d have known that he’d left it at the airport before boarding. The potential for irrevocable harm to his clients if the iPad had fallen into the wrong hands would be catastrophic. But there I was, off in la-la land, too busy making notes on a script to pick up the damn phone.
