It's not out there, in some distant place. "The kingdom of God is among you," Jesus said.
What we see and believe is the foundation for how we live. Our beliefs inform our attitudes and influence our actions.
The world of grace is a Kingdom of Kindness where the culture is one of trusting Him, not trying harder, a society of Love, not laws, a place built around a relationship, not rules. In this world, God blesses you because of His goodness, not yours.
"If you are to change your way of life, you need to change your way of thinking first." 5
Your Bible calls you "God's masterpiece" (Ephesians 2:10, NLT). Why would you insult Him by disputing His word?
Jesus said, "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." How will you ever love anybody if you don't even love yourself?
Romans 12:2 instructs us to "be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." This is a direct call to change, challenging us to let go of the old patterns and ways of thinking and to embrace new ones that align with truth. The first step in embracing a life of faith is repentance. The word means "to change your mind." It's as simple as that. To grow, we must change our minds.
our understanding of God and how to best express our faith in Him does change as we experience growth. There was a time in history when Christians embraced the concepts of slavery, misogyny, and other erroneous ideas that we now know are wrong. Those
misguided views were sincerely believed to have a biblical basis at that time. However, as the people of God grew, we came to know better. Although God doesn't change, people do when we come to understand Him more clearly.
A pervasive sentiment is that God needs to take us back to New Testament days, but the fact is that He has no intention of doing such
a thing. Growth moves in a forward direction, not backward.
God's voice is too loud to be shut up in books and buildings. He can be heard beyond the Bible and churches;
a God who speaks every language with all the accents and dialects. His vocabulary extends beyond the language of the Bible and church.
