Find what you are good at and get better,
There is no expiration date on what you’re meant to do.
In the end, we’d all tell our younger selves similar things. To enjoy it while it lasts, because it won’t last forever. To not worry so much about what is outside of your control and devote yourself more deeply to what is. To take that risk you’ve always dreamt about, and to do it sooner than you think you’re ready.
To not sabotage the good things when they arrive. To love the ones you have while you have them. To be young,
Maybe your anger is not trying to burn through your life, but through you—to make you stronger where you were once too allowing, too accepting, too unwilling to stand up for what you know is right.
How do you know what you really want? You get still, you get quiet. You go for long walks and you spend nights by yourself and you turn off your phone and you listen.
If you do not yet know what choice to make, then it is probably not time to make it. There is probably another area of your life that is asking to be nurtured, developed, and strengthened instead.
What matters is not how many people you can surround yourself with at any given time, but how much time you spend with the ones who actually see you, who value and prioritize you, who feel like the family you’ve chosen.
