The Pivot Year

When you do not know what is next, you enter the realm of infinite potential. Instead of trying to plan your life so safely and so succinctly, you can begin to plan for the moment, the joy, the journey.

You’re not looking for anyone else to give you the answers, you’re looking for what you already know to be reflected back to you. You already know what’s true.

But romantic love does not excuse you from the inner work. It does not solve your every problem, and often, a rush to find it complicates our hearts the most.

I know it seems like the absolute worst thing in the world is to be disapproved of, but the actual worst thing is to paralyze yourself under the guise that you might be able to avoid any friction.
