One may ask, why I speak of the Leader, and not the ruler? There is an enormous difference between the two. The term ruler implies primarily the present — and the governing of something that already exists, while the Leader — quite literally — reveals the future. She is not in receipt of something already formed, she guides, and her every action propels the people forward. While the ruler knows everything about that which is formed and finished, the Leader has nothing pre-established and must lead the people towards the Mount of Perfection. While the ruler’s burden is great, the responsibility ...more

The Leader is aware that she confronts the forces of darkness. The Leader recognizes that the fight against them is merciless. The Leader knows how cunning are the tricks of the darkness, yet she has two weapons against it. The first is her vigilance and moderation in life; the second is her Communication with the Forces of Light in all their Invincibility. It is no small joke to stand before all the horrors of darkness, and not turn away. You will always find those who chant: “Down with the Leaders, down with the Teachers, down with the Rulers!” Know that they are parasites that feed on disturbance and decay. Falsehood and infringement are the nature of parasites; they secretly collect riches and are not averse to reaping luxury. So you need to be capable of distinguishing those who are by nature builders from those who are destroyers. Hence it is just to associate with those who know the joy of labour, those who are acquainted with Leaders and revere Teachers, for their very nature aspires towards cooperation.

Education in primary and secondary schools should be the same for both genders. One must not impose a speciality on children when they have not yet discovered their own abilities. Secondary school is sufficient to divide the educational programme according to an individual’s talents. The secondary school system makes it possible to combine the education of those who cannot discover their potential this early. It is very important that the curriculum be the same for both genders. This condition alone will erase the extremely harmful attitudes that exist towards gender.

Aspiration towards true cooperation lies at the foundation of evolution. The cooperative system is the only salvation. Destruction of the path of ignorance is possible through the awakening of creativity alone. Even if its forms are monstrous. Even if they do try to make a sun out of a candle-lighter in the back yard, still a raging torrent will break through the wall of matter. New findings will intensify the spirit of gathering. Instead of stock-market speculation, let there be striving for discovery, supported by cooperatives.

Demonstrate discipline of spirit, for without it you will never be free. For the slave, spiritual discipline is a prison; yet for the one who is free, it is a healing garden of beauty. Whoever understands the discipline of spirit will understand the direction of Fire and adopt the concept of cooperation for the Common Good. The road’s end may be illumined by a thousand fires of Common Good.
