Teams who split quickly (within one day) are much more likely to stick with a verbal agreement (22% of the teams, compared to 11% for the teams who spend longer negotiating) and less likely, if they do formalize the agreement at all, to do so right away (41% versus 54% of longer-negotiating teams).17
