He didn’t bother to threaten me, yet. I hated him for it. I should be worth threatening.

“I feel like I could eat the world raw.”

I felt like my eyes were throwing off sparks. I wanted him burnt.

Perhaps this is all I do, I think, demented—climb walls and fall from them.

“There are no bargains between lions and men. I will kill you and eat you raw.”
