As I said earlier, the gospel is not “If you believe in Jesus, you can go to the Good Place when you die.” Mark summarizes the gospel as “The kingdom of God has come near.”[33] Paul’s one-line summary is “Jesus is Lord”[34] (another way of saying the same thing).
