One Top Secret document, dated January 21, 1964, described orders for Freeman‘s group to rescue prisoners of war at a certain location, and if that was not possible, to kill them. The Top Secret report confirmed the killing of the American prisoners of war. A copy of that Top Secret report went to the president of the United States, Lyndon Johnson at that time; to McGeorge Bundy, the presidential security advisor, John McCone, director of the Central Intelligence Agency, the Marine Corps, and the secretary of the navy.
