I bowed my head in prayer. I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. I have seen it work in my own life and in the life of our nation. But at that moment, I couldn’t help thinking that we needed to pray quickly so we could prepare to confront the violent mob right outside the chamber door.

Mike Turner from Ohio joined us and summed up the meeting this way: “Well, I just got to spend four hours listening to a bunch of men tell a woman that she wasn’t taking their feelings into account.”

No man who would do these things can ever be our president again.
We depend upon the goodwill of our leaders and their dedication to duty to ensure the survival of our republic. Only a man unacquainted with honor, courage, and character would see weakness in this.
