HOUSE REPUBLICANS CONVENED IN PERSON in the auditorium of the US Capitol Visitor Center for one final meeting the day before the January 6 joint session. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss electoral-vote objections. Mike Johnson spoke first, in support of objections. Chip Roy followed, in opposition.
