Mo Brooks of Alabama had given an incendiary speech to the crowd at the Ellipse on January 6, and some of our members were urging that he be stripped of his committee assignments. A few hours before the Capitol invasion, Brooks, yelling into the microphone, had directed the crowd to go to the Capitol, where they would find members of Congress.
