Still, the Internet in its current era has never looked more monolithic. Individual websites have been subsumed into ever-flowing feeds. All content has to fit into the same few molds. Content creators may have their choice of platform, but the platforms themselves increasingly resemble one another and function in similar ways. It feels like our options have narrowed to a choking point.
