Though he didn’t complain, she could see that he was already tired. She didn’t blame him, for his fatigue probably stemmed more from the mental exhaustion of navigating the unknown path in front of him. At least she had her sight to warn her to step off a curb, or around a pole, or to the side to avoid oncoming bikes and rushing people.
There are so many things we take for granted and I think this quote really sums some of it up.
