When I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
If we ignore this truth—if we feed our bodies but starve our souls—our lives will be incomplete and unfulfilled, and we will find ourselves weak and unprepared for life’s inevitable challenges.
“But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15 NKJV).
Our voices may be weak, but let our spirits be strong in reminding others that the root of God’s love will grow deep in the hearts of all who will desire the Water of Life.
Conversion is the work of an instant; spiritual maturity is the work of a lifetime. It is a journey with many steps, and it should be everyone’s main goal in life.
God’s will is for us to become more and more like the Lord Jesus Christ.
the Bible is God’s Word, given by God to teach us His truth and guide us through life.
The Bible is not an option; it is a necessity if we are going to be rooted in Him.
The Bible is the constant rain that waters our root system of faith. It is the inspiration from which we drink daily.
The Bible tells us to flee from sin and self-indulgence, and seek instead to base our lives on “righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness”
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).
I often receive letters from invalids and older people who say, “All I can do is pray.” I’ve often answered back, “God bless you for doing the most important thing.”
Our salvation depends instead solely on Jesus Christ and what He has already done for us. Our faith and trust must be in Him, and not in ourselves.
When doubts assail you (and the devil will be sure they will), remember this: If you have put your faith and trust in Christ, you now belong to Him.
