Through their conversation she came to realize that most of her assumptions had been wrong. Yes, she understood, there may be some homeless people who fit the stereotype so commonly believed to be true, and so often portrayed in the news, but she also realized that she couldn’t and shouldn’t be so rigid in her thinking as to assume those things to be true in each and every case, or even most cases.
