Too Late

My duty is to complete the job I’m being paid to do… which is to bust the largest campus drug ring in collegiate history.

Love finds you in the tragedies. That’s certainly where Carter found me. In the midst of a series of tragedies…

The only concern he had was for me. And to be someone’s main concern feels a hell of a lot like being loved.

Love shouldn’t feel like added weight. It should make you feel as light as air.

I guess that’s the difference between being loved the right way and the wrong way. You either feel tethered to an anchor… or you feel like you’re flying.

It doesn’t matter how the members of my family came to be. What matters is that this is my family. We’re a family. Me and her and our son.
