Making Tabitha smile feels like a grand achievement and I’m so pleased, it’s taking everything I have not to just purr like an absolute fool.
Some females are not smelly candle females, I don’t think. Chelsea might be a candle female. Tabitha is more of a “knives and garrotes” female.
“Honey.” My voice is hoarse. “You know, the stuff from bees. Insects. The sweetener.” “I think I saw something like that back at the store, yeah. You need that?” I don’t. I don’t need anything. But I want it. And I want him to come back. So I nod. “Honey it is, then. See you soon, Tabitha.”
After I ran out of things to ask him to bring me, he started buying me items he thought I might like. A packet of spices. A square of cloth he said reminded him of my eyes. A candle. For some reason, he thinks I really love scented candles.
“Why is it whenever you show up by surprise, your hand is in your pants?” I yell through the door. “An excellent question,” he retorts. “And it’s hard to explain.”
“You think I’m amazing?” “Kef, yes.” His shoulders straighten, as if he’s about to go to battle on my behalf. “Every keffing day I wake up and I’m thrilled to be on this planet, because it means I get to see you again. I thought my brother was just infatuated with his female when we moved here and he’d get bored of it, but I understand now. It doesn’t matter where you live when the best person on the planet is right next door.”
“It’s your fault for trying to break into my house.” “I wasn’t trying to break in. I was trying to jerk off on your door.”
“I just need you to understand that I want to go as slow as you need, Tabitha.” He strokes my cheek with the backs of his knuckles. When I nod, he continues. “But…I also need to paint your door or I’m going to crawl out of my skin.”
That she’s exhausted from whatever happened today. “How did you know?” “Because I know you, and I imagine it’s hard to be around people after pushing them all away for a long time.”
She’s wearing strange fabric tubes on her feet, but I’ve learned that humans like to cover their bodies with all kinds of layers for some reason, so I just roll with it.
“Wrap your hand around me, love,” I whisper. “I’m yours to play with.”
“You’re so wet, aren’t you?” He breathes, and rocks his hips in time with mine. “Your scent is everywhere. It’s amazing. Keep using me, Tabitha. Use me until you come. I want to feel you come apart in my arms.”
