Everything else fell away while I finished a paper, or scrambled to get to class on time, or apologetically rolled into Jiffy Lube six months overdue for an oil change because I was about to go on a road trip. The things that were important to me but never became urgent? Like finishing my novel, learning to meal prep, or hosting a murder mystery dinner party? I just never got to them.
