My phone dings twice in my pocket, and I rush to open it, hoping it’s something about Laiken. But what I see isn’t at all comforting. Instead, it confirms my worst fears. It’s a picture of Laiken, taken from above her. She’s unconscious and in what looks like a wooden box. They’re fucking burying her alive. The message after is just as sinister.
