“I don’t like it.” Levi’s voice stops me in my tracks. I slowly turn around to face him. “You don’t like what?” “When others touch you.”
“From today on, you won’t let anyone touch you.” He says the words like he has every right to. “Let me think about that…” I mock, waiting mere seconds for dramatic effect. “Decree denied, your majesty.” “Astrid,” he growls, his hand clasping around my arm. “You don’t want to fight me on this.”
I never thought I would ever enjoy seeing a girl blushing, but Astrid is the exception to all the rules. She’s her own rule.
I can’t begin to imagine what my life will be like if I spend more time with her. No idea what this fucking obsession with Astrid is all about, but I know one thing. I’m seeing it to the very end.
“Don’t stand there calling another guy’s name in my fucking presence.” I smile, incredulous. “Are you obsessed with me or something?” “Call it an obsession or foolishness or fucking madness,” he grunts, squeezing my throat. “But you keep your eyes on me.”
Astrid and I aren’t something decided by an accident three years ago. We’re more. We’re a lot fucking more. Astrid didn’t only engrave herself in my soul, she’s also become an inseparable part of my core. And no fucking one can take that away from me.
Astrid once told me I was a dark night. It’s on dark nights that stars like her shine the brightest.
