Was Jane able to spend some time with Mr. Bingley?” Oliver bit his lip and lowered both trunks to the floor before his arms began to ache. “Some. She spent most of the visit resting, but Mr. Bingley did check on her frequently.” “Good! Oh, that is excellent news. And what about you? Did you learn anything from the Bingley sisters?” Oliver blinked. “Pardon?” “The Bingley sisters are two very beautiful, feminine women. I thought it might be educational for you to spend some time with two proper ladies, given your proclivities.” Oliver’s heart pounded so hard his chest hurt, heat creeping up his neck.
