“Shut up.” I pointed the barrel between his eyes. “I’ll see you in hell–Dad. But before you go, know this: Evangelina is mine. Please take your last breath, knowing I won’t stop until she’s writhing in my arms and screaming my name.” He shook his head as I laughed. “Yeah, I’m going to taint and destroy everything you’ve ever loved. Starting with that sweet piece of ass you care so much about. No other man will ever touch her. I promise you that.” James gnashed his mangled teeth. “You mother—” Two bullets split his skull, leaving a trail of bone and brain matter splattered against the floor.
Derek. Damn you, Alexa. He was hot. No, not just hot. Derek Cain was the unholy definition of calculated seduction.
“I’m staring because I never thought you’d be this goddamn beautiful.” The ring of chocolate brown in her eyes thinned.
I said nothing else and prepared to clean her wound, fully aware she could do it herself. But the need to touch her was a beast with a mind of its own.
“Hey… come on, man. I’m dying over here.” Andrey’s whimpers were low, his breaths shallow, and he no longer held weight on his knees. Slung forward, he was held up by the cutting restraints around his wrists. “I’m in the middle of something. Let’s not be rude.”
Our love was unconventional, chaotic, passionate, and all-consuming. It didn’t need to make sense to anyone but us.
