Beyond the block, burning buildings coughed up a blanket of black smoke.

By the time the government imposed martial law, the baby-fiends had multiplied their numbers by abducting people and forcing them to consume the homemade drug known as ‘blender babies.’

Nap time was over. Stab time was on.
