It’s often difficult to hand over responsibility for a task to others, especially if you believe they won’t do as good a job as you will. But that’s no excuse. You cannot become an effective Level 4 leader unless you are willing to let go of some of your responsibilities. So what’s a good rule of thumb for transferring ownership of a leadership responsibility to someone else? I use the 80 percent rule.
