So, is this why when we are adopting several new habits, it's harder for us to maintain such virtuous lifesyle because how demanding it is to system 2. Thus, we are more prone to give up?

This reminds me of Sherlock Holmes and how he reasoned based solely on what he observes and retrieves from memory. I think a lot of the time, I feel overconfident and underestimate the importance of patterns and facts, believing that they are irrelevant. However, this is contradicting to the black swan story, which is about how significant events cant be predicted. I guess I must read on to see how they work together.
