Our bodies are equipped for self-healing. We interfere with this natural process by reacting to events with worry and stress. We can withdraw this interference by responding to external events with relaxed reactions.
Alpha is the key. It takes you away from the objective realm, the physical world, and into the subjective world, the causative or creative realm, the realm that is the source of the physical world.
Desire, belief, and expectation are the components of faith, the link between mind and brain that enables programs to be realized.
have found that looking up in this manner triggers the brain to produce alpha rhythm. At the same time, looking upward and unfocusing the eyes in the process of looking away from any objects also triggers more right-brain activity.

Counting forward is activating. Counting 1, 2, 3 is like “get ready, get set, go.” Counting 3 to 1 is pacifying; it takes you nowhere except deeper within yourself.
Count backward from 100 to 1. 2. Picture yourself healthy and affirm your health. 3. Count up from 1 to 5, affirming good health and wide-awakeness.
Count backward from 100 to 1 for ten mornings. • Then count backward from 50 to 1 for ten mornings. • Then count backward from 25 to 1 for ten mornings. • Then count backward from 10 to 1 for ten mornings.

By using mental imagery, you may stop causing the original symptoms of the illness you are intending to relieve,
but you can hasten this process by identifying the old programming and thus diffusing it. In identifying it, you come to understand and eliminate the cause of your health problems.
If you can identify the stressful relationship that is “bugging” you, then you will have zeroed in on the cause and how to get rid of it.

Guilt. When you know that you are doing something wrong or something society believes is wrong, and you continue to do it, you are inviting a weakening of your immune system.
A deep loss. When you lose something or someone of great value and are not able to recover that loss, you experience great stress, which, again, invites a weakening of your immune system.
Chronic stress is known to cause a weakening of the immune system.
How your body reacts to these mental pictures depends on how your past experiences cause you to feel. Your

We can reinforce them by affirming them verbally or by hearing others affirm them verbally. Experiencing the results also reinforces these expectations, but so do visualization and imagination.
Next, mentally affirm that this will happen — indeed, that it is already happening.

Humans are always automatically registering or recording information consciously or subconsciously on inanimate and animate matter in the environment.
Further, they can learn to record information at will on animate matter nearby or far away, on inanimate matter nearby, and even on distant inanimate matter through another person in the remote environment. The latter is known as a “repeater effect.”
1. Enter the alpha level. 2. Affirm your desire for and belief and expectation that healing will take place. 3. With the subject in a prone position and the subject’s eyes closed, make sweeping passes with your hands over his or her body from head to toe. 4. For a few moments, hold your hands over the subject’s head, forehead, back, and sides of head, then over the chest and back (thinking of the immune system), and then over any localized problem area, each time visualizing the problem and imagining a correction taking place. 5. End your alpha session.
1. Go to alpha. 2. Reinforce your desire for and your belief and expectation that conceptualizing and verbalizing will heal. 3. Visualize the unwanted condition and imagine it changing to normal.
alpha, you are working in the subjective, spiritual world — the cause of the effect.
Negative thinking causes problems. Positive thinking causes solutions. Negative thinking provides a climate in which health problems can develop. Positive thinking provides a climate in which good health can be attained and maintained.
Close your eyes, take a deep breath, turn your eyes slightly upward, and mentally say, “Cancel, cancel.”

Program yourself to restore your mental equilibrium and to use the experience to become an even better self than you were before. Make a habit of dispelling stress and substituting peace of mind. Go over yesterday’s activities and pinpoint any stressful event, searching especially for some action in which you were less than generous, ethical, legally fair, or compassionate toward someone else. At your alpha level, resolve to do something today to rectify that action.
By assuring students of relaxation that they are actually progressing, biofeedback is contributing to that progress. Contributing to relaxation is contributing to stress management—but not to the elimination of stress. Biofeedback’s limitation is that, while it can help you handle or dispel stress, it cannot help you prevent stress from developing.
On the assumption that everything in the body is coordinated by the mind, we go about controlling the mind in order to control the immune system, the vital organs, and our general levels of good health.
You can use your alpha level to move your moods toward the positive side of the mood spectrum — and live longer.
