What business could you possibly have there?” Saylah asked. “No business that is yours.” “Then you will not have my aid.” “I am not asking, Saylah,” he snarled. “If you desire the aid of my children, Temural, you will tell me your business in Devram.” He opened his mouth to argue, but she held up her hand, silencing him. “If you do not agree to such terms, consider your request denied.” Temural glared at his sister. “I need to send in Auryon.” The goddess slowly got to her feet. “You have only sent out a Huntress two other times.” “That you know of.” “Tell me your purpose.” “I need her to train someone.” “If Auryon is training someone, then you are training her to hunt for and to feed death,” his sister countered. “I am training her so she can protect herself and survive,” Temural sneered. “Her? A lover?”
