“Take my top off,” I ordered. She pulled back, giving me a look before doing exactly as I said. I dropped my weapon until it was off and placed it over my heart, but this time I didn’t let her stop me as I dragged it against my skin. “Kohl,” she breathed when she realized the letter I was carving right over my heart. Satisfaction burst in my chest when I saw the way her gaze darkened. The carving hurt like a bitch. But seeing how she looked at me as I branded myself as hers made it so worth it that I barely noticed the lingering ache.
