I had thought I’d fallen in love with Vic long ago. It was slow at first, when I watched her with her friends or snuck out to see her whenever she had a spare moment from my brother. Then one day it fell all together, and I couldn’t stop the feelings of warmth in my chest when I looked at her. I thought that had been love.
It was clear to me now that in this moment, holding her enemy still at her feet—ready for her to claim their worthless life and begin the road toward reclaiming everything my family had taken from her, I fell more deeply for her than I could’ve ever imagined. All encompassing. Eternal.
Her body fit perfectly against mine. Just like I knew it would.
“Never,” I breathed, falling to my knees in front of her. “How many times do I have to say it, Vic? I’m yours. For as long as you want to keep me, I’ll be by your side, loving you, pleasing you, protecting you.”
“If you’re a good boy and fuck yourself, I’ll consider never letting you go ever again,”
Her degradation was intoxicating, something that could make me, even in my most sane mind, crumble. But her praise? God, her praise was like getting a blessing from my very own goddess.
“Tell me you love me, and I’ll promise to never let you go,”
“I have and will always love you, Victoria,” I said. “I was made to belong to you, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
“I’ve never been more serious in my life,” I admitted. “I love you, Victoria Miller, and I would be honored if you kept me.”
“Because I seem to have fallen for my little pet. I love you too, pup.”
“Whoever kills Hiram will get paid out a million dollars, regardless of whether you win the games,” she said, her lips twisted. “Hell, I’ll even cut the check myself. If you can make me laugh while you’re doing it, I’ll double it.” She was the most twisted and evil thing I’d ever seen… and I fucking loved it.
