“I’m not used to a woman being at my eye level,” he uttered lowly, his gaze sliding across my face.
He smiled against my lips, easing back to pepper them with light kisses before pulling away entirely. “Come on, pretty girl. I’ll show you around.”
“Fuck. The things I want to do to this body.” His open mouth landed on my belly button, leaving a trail of wet kisses along my abdomen while he cupped between my legs. “I need to eat your pussy.”
His warm breath touched my ear before his gravelly words did. “I’ll bill you for the sheets.” Then he gently tugged my zipper up and smoothed my dress along my sides. “I’ve never tasted sweeter than you, pretty girl.”
“Either you adopted Sersh, or you got married. Since marriage would be crazy, I’ll be the first to say congrats on your new hot blonde daughter.” Miles winked at me and patted his pockets. “Sorry, I’m fresh out of cigars, otherwise I’d offer you one.”
Saoirse spent the rest of the ride looking out her window while I tried to figure out why I couldn’t let myself tell her I’d been surprised she’d gone out of her way to buy me a ring and if I’d had to pick one for myself, it would have probably looked a lot like this.
This time when I came back out of the closet, Luca was holding my vibrator. “You have quite a collection.” He nodded toward my pile of toys. I shrugged, refusing to be embarrassed. “I like to come.”
“That’s enough. I will not sit here and allow you to speak to my wife that way.” I flicked my gaze to her mother. “This ends now, or I am taking my wife out of here, and in the future, you’ll have to go through me to speak to her. No one will ever disrespect her that way. Not if I have anything to say about it.”
“You’re Saoirse Rossi now. You get to start anew and be the woman you want to be. There are no expectations, no pressure. It’s up to you to shape your path. I want you to know I’m fucking proud of you. I admire the strength it takes to strike out on your own. You might be scared, but I’ve got your back, so there’s no need for you to fear.”
Two years wasn’t going to be close to enough time with her. I was beginning to believe two lifetimes wouldn’t cut it either.
