“I hate your singing, and I hate your Smart Car,” I yell, stomping across the parking lot. “Don’t make fun of my car,” she whines, following me. “I can barely fit in that thing! If a pigeon pooped on it, it would be totaled,”

It wasn’t the same without you. Your absence isn’t quiet. Sometimes it’s the loudest thing on earth. It weighs down on me so heavily that it makes it impossible to breathe.
