“What the Light is that?” Gael wrapped an arm around Shade’s shoulders so he could lean in and squint at the projection. “An hourglass? Bowtie?” Something had been carved into the woman’s skin. Because of the position of it, it did look a lot like a bowtie, only the top parts of the triangles at either side were larger than the ones at the bottom.

Butterfly?

It’s nice to meet you, and it’s a butterfly, by the way.”

👀 definitely a butterfly signature on the hip.

The only thing any of the victims had in common was the mark that was carved at the back of their hips.
