“If you boys don’t remember anything, I want you to remember two heads are better than one. You were born together. No one knows how deep the love and loyalty runs between twins, but I do. I know you two feed off each other energy. I know you can talk without using your voice. That’s power. You keep that and remember it’s you two vs. the world. Forever.”
me. I don’t give a fuck if I’m walking around this bitch looking like Calliou. I’m the baddest bald-headed bitch in every room I walk in,”
“And that’s on who?” she asked. “Rosa-stand your muthafuckin’ ground-Parks.” Junie threw the shot back.
“You are. You’re like an Egyptian god, but you’re so sad. If you were mine, I’d pray over you and deliver you from those demons,” she mumbled. “I’d make you feel safe, and I’d protect you from whatever has you in a chokehold.”
“You ain’t the only shooter, baby. My gun bust just the same,” she smirked, patting her fanny pack.
“You better not. That man is a waste of air, and if I see him with his hands on you again, I'm going to murk that nigga and adopt his son,”
“Because you have this energy about you that I can’t shake. I feel drawn to you, and even when I'm not thinking about you, I'm thinking about you,”
“Follow your first mind,” Sir preached, taking a sip of his gin. “Your first mind is always right; anything after that is doubt.”
“I’m guessing it’s been a while because you doing too much. If a nigga was hitting this shit on the regular, you’d be a lot calmer. Less tense.”
“The next time I come over here and you don’t have any food, we’re going to have a problem.” He pecked her lips before letting her down. “From now on, if you need anything, let me know what it is.”
“Move in silence. The fuck you look like telling another man your every move,” Sir preached. “Always let a muthafucka think they have one up on you. In time everything presents itself. A wolf can only wear sheep clothing for so long.”
“Oh shit. You’re flaking on the after hour for pretty toes. I think I need to change her name to sis.”
“You know relationships are work, whether it's friends or partners. Not everyone is willing to do the work.
“Basically, but now I don’t have a job and I'm going to be homeless,” she whined. “Shut up. You’ll never be homeless as long as I have breath in my body,” Nite promised.
“You don’t have to do all that. I feel like I got my point across,” Hunter assured her. “Girl, fuck your point. I’m talking about my point. Hoes know not to play with my best friend.”
“What are you doing here?” Hunter gazed up at him. “Come on now, you know I'm wherever you are.” Nite winked at her.
“Because you have me questioning everything I thought I knew. I feel so connected to you and these feelings have me wanting to give you the world. I want to show you there are still good things on earth. I want to protect you and kiss every scar on your body until your heart heals. I want to pray over you and help you fight all the demons that keep you from sleeping. I want to be your peace.”
there was no blueprint to life and that people were doing the best they could with what they had.
“Fuck I look like switching up on a nigga I shared a womb with? It’s a forever thing.” He stuck his hand out. Clap clap pound salute.
