The sea was a collector of things. It took things we cherished—most things we’d forgotten—and I still found myself drawn to her, unable to resist her call, needing to step into the graveyard of the lost, wild, and treasured.

“We can survive a lifetime without love, as long as it doesn’t touch us.” “Seems like an impossible task. What happens if it does?” A beautiful smile ripped across his face. “Then, my darling, we become mad fools.”
“What I feel for you knows no time or place,” he whispered, his warm words ruffling my hair. “My love for you awakened without warning, slowly and in an instant, in one throbbing heartbeat ... and I’m in love with you always, my darling ... Do you hear me?”
