“You can just call me Vale,” he grumbled. “I suppose that once someone has seen my bare ass, we can drop the titles.”

“If I didn’t do dangerous things,” I added, “I would do nothing.”

“I always wondered what you were thinking,” he murmured. “When you look at me like that.” “Like what?” “Like I’m a formula to be solved, and you’re very intrigued about the answer.”
