“You asked if it was good…” His hot breath on my thighs sends tingles down my spine. “It was fucking perfect.” The second he touches me, I close my eyes, enjoying his caress. I arch my back, immersing myself in the moment and the man. Coming here with my best friend’s brother was the best decision I made all week.
“It’s amusing that you still have no idea how much power you have around here.” Benson puts a hand on my shoulder. “People will see her as your enemy. A target of derision and talk. I don’t know what Monday will bring for her, but I’m sure it won’t be nice. No one wants to be on your bad side, especially girls.”
The first week after the party was strange. People whispered behind my back and pointed in my direction. When I walked into a room, everyone would fall silent. It was like my presence shut down every conversation. A few of my classmates stopped talking to me, and one even refused to be my study partner in one of my classes.
She has a perfect body, but her tits… Damn, her full boobs looked so good in her beige and pink bra that I was literally forcing myself not to stare. Even the glimpse I had was enough to make my dick rock solid. I want her so badly, like I’ve never wanted anyone in my life.
“I love you, Ava. I love you more than fucking hockey, and for someone like me, that sounds like the ravings of a lunatic. If anything, I’m obsessed with you, because any time I get to taste you, I crave you even more. You are the only girl I want, the only one I’ll ever need. And I’ll do anything for you to give me another chance. Please, Ava.”
There was a reason Mom didn’t leave Dad after her one night with Leo, and that reason was love—love they were able to reignite when Mom returned home from the facility.
an actual criticism i have for this book is that the author relies way too much on telling rather than showing. like… passages like these are so clunky and makes me feel dumb as a reader because things like this shouldn’t have to be explained word for word but instead described and integrated into the storytelling so that it is understood by the end
