I don’t think love at first sight exists, but I believe in annoyed at first sight,
There’s something about her—I don’t even know how to explain it. I feel different when she’s around, and I don’t remember ever experiencing anything like it.
He reminds me of Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter movies: platinum blond with blue eyes, but, unlike Tom Felton, he’s not attractive at all.
“If you meet a girl you like, one who causes your heartbeat to speed up, who is constantly on your mind, day and night; one who stirs such strong emotions within you that it is hard to control yourself. If you meet a girl like that, promise me you will bring her here and introduce her to me.”
and I’d prefer to read something on my phone to get back on track.
“I like someone, but at the same time he brings out the worst in me, and sometimes I hate him.
I continue to push everyone away, not allowing myself to open up to even my closest friends.
I’m whipped, aren’t I?
“I hate you,” she hisses, but it’s so unconvincing that I laugh again. No, baby, you don’t.
It’s a fucking punk concert in my stomach.
“It’s never like that, no. It’s like chess. Certain pieces during the game allow certain combinations. The king is always a king, just like the queen is not a pawn. People’s behavior defines what happens to them in addition to their life circumstances,”
“How we react to situations depends on our personality, on our inner strength.
And the world stops existing, disappearing into a vortex of nothingness. No sounds. No scents. No feeling of time or space. Just him and I, and I don’t want it any other way.
“I love you, Ava. I love you more than fucking hockey, and for someone like me, that sounds like the ravings of a lunatic. If anything, I’m obsessed with you, because any time I get to taste you, I crave you even more. You are the only girl I want, the only one I’ll ever need. And I’ll do anything for you to give me another chance. Please, Ava.”
You let me see you, the real you. And I fucking fell in love with you, babe. With a feisty girl who didn’t hesitate to slap a total stranger for his disrespectful words. With a compassionate friend who would do anything for their closest people. With a stunning girl who looks incredible no matter what she’s wearing. With a naughty girl who’s open to experimenting, who’s ready to beg and dominate at the same time. With your beautiful soul, and your constant desire to challenge me, to push my limits. You’re the only girl in the world I’ll ever see. Always.”
“I’m Colton Thompson. The future center for the California Thunders. A soon-to-be Great Lake University graduate. A fucking stubborn idiot, and a closed off moron. I’m a grump, and I’m not always the best person to be around, but you love me. I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve you, but here we are. You’re my life, and I want you forever. Will you be my wife?”
staring at the little honeypot on her lower abdomen. A matching tattoo to the Winnie-the-Pooh I have inked on my right wrist.
Ava is my end and my beginning. She’s my weakness and my strength. She’s my soulmate, and I’m incredibly grateful to her for giving me a chance. For letting me in and allowing me to love her. For loving me back and being my family. She’s my only one, and it’ll stay like this forever. Always.
