I didn’t often show my full chest tattoo to others outside of our circle, but something about Eli made me want him to see it. It was personal, a representation of the beast within. The one that I didn’t understand growing up. But he was a part of me and having him on my chest helped me feel more connected, especially when I felt like I was crawling in my skin.
