A soft meow came from my right, and I twisted my head to find a cat sauntering toward me. He was as black as his surroundings, and I would have missed him if not for the distinct white heart shaped spot on his chest. The cat kept his crescent eyes on me as he crept closer. When he was close enough, he quickly brushed his head against my chin. His soft fur tickled my skin.
